As a dedicated postpartum nurse, I have spent my career educating first-time parents on newborn care. I founded Baby On The Way hands-on education classes because my patients asked me to. Many parents inquired if I offered any supportive services outside the hospital. While I saw many anxious and unprepared new parents in the hospital, I had not considered how useful my postpartum experience could be to parents before the baby arrives. My goal is to provide parents-to-be with the essential skills and knowledge they will need before they reach the delivery room. With firsthand experience, I know what parents need to confidently care for their newborns. I can't wait to meet you in class and look forward to preparing you to meet your baby!
My Teaching Method
Evidenced Based Practice
I will be sharing evidence based information while giving parents the autonomy to make informed decisions that work best for their families. Topics include infant care, soothing techniques, and breastfeeding basics.
Hands On Learning
This is the key confidence builder to prepare parents for newborn care. I incorporate practical demonstrations to ensure comfortability when interacting with your baby.
